About
I'm a software engineer who also pulls shots behind the bar.
After 30 years building software, I wanted to understand coffee from the inside out. So I became a part-time barista — and what I found surprised me. Talented people running great businesses, largely blind to the data sitting right underneath them.
Now I split my time between the espresso machine and the data. That combination — knowing how software gets built and knowing what it's like to be in the weeds of a coffee operation — is what I bring to every project.
I work exclusively with specialty coffee businesses: roasters, importers, cafes, and multi-location operators. Every project is deployed to your own cloud account. You own the code, the data, and the infrastructure — no subscriptions, no vendor lock-in.
I take on a small number of projects at a time so I can give each one the attention it deserves.
